Tentative dates for the next book club need to be set still because some people might be going away for Fourth of July weekend. Please suggest possible dates so we can figure this out.
Would June 22 or 23 work for folks?
The next book is Flannery O'Connor - Wise Blood
She grew up in Georgia and is known for the Southern Gothic style (Faulkner is also known for this style) - often grotesque characters who are deeply flawed. She is most famous for her short stories, such as "A Good Man Is Hard to Find."
Menu will include grits, crawfish, hog maws and snouts, chicken feet, chitterlings, fried dill pickles, and black-eyed peas. Millie will eat a little of everything.

Both dates are fine with me, I look forward to it!
I would prefer the 23rd because the 22nd is the last day of school and I will problably want to hang out with my teacher friends to celebrate!
Neither day works for me because we'll be in New York until June 26. We take off on the 12th, so the only dates in June for me would be June 29, 30.
If the 23rd works for everyone go ahead. I'll be with you in spirit, although I do regret missing the hog jowls.
I have plans for the 23rd, however the 22nd would be good. I am still waiting on the delivery of my book from Amazon. I ordered it right after the last dinner and it has yet to arrive. It is a short read so that should not be a problem. After seeing some of the menu I may be starting a restricted diet right around that time and may need to past on some items.
